Somatics is neuromuscular re-education - what is that I hear you say?
Somatic movement is a series of exercises or movements that are done very slowly to help your brain sense what is going on in your body, where there is tightness, where the movement is difficult or limited and how it feels.
By going into the tightness a little bit more in a slow & controlled way, the brain is able to recognise the tension it is holding in the muscles and is then able to let go.
The Somatic exercises re-train your brain through rehabilitation movements to improve function.
